Remember that time Sarah Chain and I visited Martin Library?

As much as I love books, it’s nice outside. And what better way to solicit story ideas than hang out in the great outdoors?

(OK, not exactly — unless you a playground in Manchester Township, York County, counts.)

Gettin’ out there: office hours for ideaLab yields story for York Daily Record co-worker

On Tuesday, I had a visitor during my ideaLab office hours at Central Market.

It was Sue Diaz, spokeswoman for The Potter’s House, a 300-member Hispanic congregation that’s hoping to buy a historic church in downtown York.

She had corresponded with me earlier that day via the ydr.com Facebook page, where I had posted my location for the morning. Continue reading →
