Here I am as a senior, co-editor of Hershey High School’s newspaper, The Broadcaster. Those were the days, people!
Confession: I didn’t even go to high school football games when I was IN high school.
I didn’t care.
I was that newspaper nerd with a helicopter mom who wasn’t allowed to be out past dark.
I also had like … two friends (who also, by the way, weren’t allowed to be out past dark). I lived life on the edge.
So … here’s something fun. I’ll be at the Dover at West York football game this Friday with the NewsVroom crew.
Visit.
It’s pretty much the first high school football game I’ve attended ever.
Sure, I may be six years out of high school. I may be attending this game accompanied by a large windowless panel van. And I may still have a mother who occasionally wants to know what I’m up to.
But, hey … I’m still pretty stoked.

Your first huh? Well hope they are gentle with you!
seems like you can’t handle all that much excitement. Yeah right! lol BTW, in 78 when I graduated, that was a pretty big game
Haha! I think high school football is a bigger deal around here than it was where I grew up. Not sure why.
It’s really big in Texas!! But I still can’t get into it. lol Give me the Steelers
