Unrelated to journalism at all (except for the fact that I documented every step of the process with my iPhone), I baked a cake for the first time this weekend.
Trust me, it’s an accomplishment worthy of a blog post.
You see, it was my partner-in-crime’s birthday this weekend. There was only one thing to do, obviously:
Find the most fattening cake recipe possible and execute.
Enter iced extra moist lemon pound cake at a whopping 545 calories a slice. Kinda like the stuff they sell at Starbucks, only worse for you.
Sold.
It got rave reviews (as should anything that contains an entire half pound of butter).
