The guys from the new event, White Rose Thunder, invited the media out Thursday for a flat track racing demonstration at the York Fairgrounds.
I’ve written about the event before, at least twice, so I figured I’d do a video with a QR code for print, since I figured motorcycles whizzing around a dry dirt track has to show up great on camera.
Well, Thursday goes down in history as the day I learned how to properly hold my device while taking video.
Kudos, Lauren.
Typically, I’ll hold the device vertically, and stuff shows up weird and cut-off in brightcove.
See example:
Note that the above video does not fill the full frame. Not ideal.
Yep. I’ve been reminded about this dozens of times, but I get too revved up (pun intended) when I shoot videos, that I usually forget.
I filmed it, for ease of carrying, with my iPhone. Then, I just e-mailed the clips to myself so I could save them on my iPad and edit in iMovie.
Then, I went to a busy diner near the Fairgrounds and tried my best not to have ADD while I finished and uploaded the video using the brightcove app.
Very very good Lauren:)
