The Affordable Care Act, upheld by the Supreme Court on Thursday, is confusing to say the least.
So, I figured it might be fun times to try and hold a live chat.
(I’ve decided to discontinue the weekly live chats, I think, and focus them on timely, current events as they happen.)
This was the perfect opportunity.
I got to work calling some local law firms I had worked with for past chats.
I did it all while eating ice cream topped with blueberries at my ideaLab mobile reporting office du jour: Sweet Frog frozen yogurt …
Anywho, I created a ScribbleLive event and invited my fabulous volunteers by sending them a link generated by the program.
I was SO proud of myself.
Instachat.
Then, Friday rolls around.
I get a call from the marketing director at one of the law firms.
“What’s the log-in and password?” she asked.
Evidently, the link directed her lawyer to a log-in screen, instead of into the chat.
Crap.
In an emergency, I asked them to comment on the ydr.com page, like any of our readers would.
Does anyone know what I might have done wrong?
In any case, crisis averted.
