I have yet to determine whether the live chats I’m doing every Friday with different businesses are worth my time or not.
But I hate breaking a streak.
So, the other Friday, when I was unable to make chat time, I taught my co-worker Sean Adkins how to use Cover It Live to connect with a local staffing agency.
More than 40 people logged on during the live event to speak with Cathy Dallas of JFC Staffing.
A week later, Dallas called Sean to let him know that a woman who participated in the chat followed up, sending her resume to JFC.
“That woman,” he writes, “now has a job making $40,000 a year.”
That just goes to show — chat rooms might be old technology, but they get the job done!
